People like Alan Keyes, Glenn Beck, et al make me rather scared, but the question is:
Since the GOP's numbers have been heading down while Obama and the Democrats' ratings remain topside, could it be that few are listening to them?

I personally have never physically met anyone who believed or even KNEW about the birth certificate nonsense, and even some FReepers are getting tired of those who keep screaming "Socialist!" at the top of their lungs.

Still, all it takes is one determined wacko . . . :scared:

1. And it takes all of us to start filing complaints with the DOJ
and other law enforcement entities that we believe that these are threats against the President's life.

3. These people are becoming
more and more shrill and it's because they are losing power. They are trying to gain support by turning up the volume. I guess they figure they will build support based if they just scream louder.

They are in an ever shrinking minority. For all the yelling Rush did, Obama won in a landslide. The screeching didn't help. It didn't change minds. If anything, it just make them more and more irrelevent.

4. One of my staff is a RW fundie
He passed me a link to one of Beck's rants the other day concerning the stimulus package. I told him Beck was a poor excuse for a human and should be ignored.

His response was "ignore the messenger but listen to the message".

So, to your question, I would say yes, do be concerned that there are those who listen to him and accept his message as legitimate.

Not good news.

5. Why is KO talking about him to lead off his show......
... WHY! WHY! WHY!!! .... of ALL today's stories .... WHY does he need to lead off with this.

He's only giving attention to a non-issue. Giving Keyes more attention than he deserves. Yes, I realize I'm doing just as bad by talking about it but SERIOUSLY!!!

Of ALL the things he could have talked about!!! sheesh.

9. Trust me, they exist...
My co-workers all think he's from Kenya. They believe every word of garbage that is sent to them in emails and that they hear from their friends or from right wing radio. I'm in West Texas and I'm pretty sure most of the people out here don't think he's a citizen...or at least, that is their EXCUSE to hide behind the fact that they're racists.

11. S.E. Ohio isn't any better than West Texas.
White men appear to be the most gullible. They are convinced Muslim Communist Kenyan Obama is taking their guns away. They seriously believe they are going to have to fight a revolution against the liberal socialist/communist government. And, like there, they are racist here. Their explanation for the economic crisis is that Barney Frank and Chris Dodd FORCED the banks to make loans to poor black people. They have bought into every single limbaugh lie.

cases, and I swear, he's gonna have a coranary before it's all over with. He lives on a couple of acres out of town, has farm animals and enough food and ammo to keep him and family "protected" when the Cival War comes.......which he is totaly convinced will happen. He actually advocates the overthrow of the Govt....thinks we should all get our guns and pitchforks and march to Washington.....yeah, he's one of THOSE!!

It's like watching water come to a boil. I dunno, maybe my Obama screen saver and the campaigne button I have on my wall have something to do with it?
