1. send the Capitol Police NOW
How many times is he going to give Conyers the finger?

Arrest him NOW. Confiscate all records and computers.

2. Just a deposition. I don't think you're required to testify when you hand it in. nt

3. A deposition has to be given at a specified time and place
Rove would have to show up and be questioned.

4. I do not think being questioned that day is necessarily part of submitting a deposition.
Edited on Mon Feb-23-09 02:19 PM by Captain Hilts
I wish it were so.

If it were, I think Conyers would be there ready to rant if he were not going to show.

5. The subpoena required him to show up and answer questions
posed by Judiciary Committee lawyers. He can't "mail that in."

6. My point is, is he required to testify TODAY? If so, why isn't Conyers there?
Edited on Mon Feb-23-09 02:24 PM by Captain Hilts
I'm not trying to be difficult.

If he is required to submit to questioning today, why isn't Conyers there?

11. I would have liked for him to show up. But, it wasn't required on his part...
It was required on Rove's part.

Don't get me wrong. Most people know that I think John Conyers has been nothing but talk. All bark, no bite.

12. I agree with your assessment of Conyers and would like to make him 'collateral damage' here.
He should be there going ballistic.
