It is obvious that Cable News cannot deviate from their Morning Memo from the GOP! |
|
Edited on Mon Feb-23-09 05:36 PM by FrenchieCat
I am watching CNN now, and watched a couple of minutes of Hardball, and they can't seem to deviate from the path they were on prior to the Summit that they just showed us.
There seems to be a disconnect between what was witnessed in that summit with President Obama at the helm, and what is being discussed on Cable since then. It is as though the Summit never happened, and as though we are supposed to believe that we didn't see what was saw with our very eyes.
They are still questioning whether Bank will or will not be Nationalized, how the stock market is not responding, and how the Republicans have found their voice in disapproving of the stimulus package.
Eery.
Reminds me of Big Brother.

1. It almost makes me wonder if they're not taping their shows at 9:00 a.m. |
|
Certainly they are NOT current on the daily news. Local news is far more "with it."

3. Speaking of morning shows, you'll never believe what Scarborough |
|
said this a.m. Talking to Rep. Clyburn from South Carolina - a man of color - he asks him if he resents the Governor because Sanford lives on a plantation. Then he tries to clean it up and says something about plantations being farms with names on them. SHEEESH!

5. You should watch Shuster on 1600, he delivered a smack down on Darrell Issa |
|
for lying about the stimulus bill. It was fabulous to see a cable talking head actually call someone out for lying.
And now they're talking about the summit, although the Republican they have on (can't place him) is, of course, repeating the same old tired lines. But Shuster's questions are good.

6. I don't understand it at all....Maybe they don't have actual staffs anymore and |
|
the people that are left have to write ahead of time???
It makes me sick to listen to the chattering class and their little republican friends abuse any REAL idea that comes along....
