I don't mean to load the hopes and prayers of all mankind on to Obama's shoulders tonight but this speech has the potential of turning things around and setting things on the right course. I am not expecting miracles when it comes to the economy or the many other things that Bush so horribly soiled, defaced and degraded but there is a real chance tonight that Obama's words will inject some hope and optimism into this Country and the world.

This morning I woke to news stories of medicine shortages, more foreclosures, more job losses. We are on a downward spiral, we need to get looking up.

With his power of words, he can lift us out of the morass, calm the fear and get us going again. More than any other time in my memory, words will be very, very important tonight.

GODSPEED OBAMA!

PS: Then we need to go after the incredibly vicious, heartless, gutless,incompetent traitors who got us to this awful place.
