Martin Luther King Jr is smiling right now
Edited on Tue Feb-24-09 10:35 PM by AllentownJake
Tonight an African American President addressed his nation. He was flanked by an Irish Catholic Vice President from a working class background and a Speaker of the House that is an Italian Woman. In response the opposition party introduced the Govenor of a Southern State who is als the son of Imigrants from India.

Politics aside, when that man began his march for his dream that men be judged by the content of their character that ended in him sacrificing his life this moment seemed like an impossibility. However, he knew, he had faith, and he sacrificed so his country would be a better place.

2. No doubt
However he's not white and he's the Govenor of a Southern State. I disagree with his politics in almost every degree but the fact that he got elected, is progress.
