In fairness the guy had an almost impossible task following the President, but the stagecraft along with his delivery and the speech itself were terrible.

It occurs to me that our opinion probably doesn't count for much, because Jindal was pretty obviously addressing a different audience--a more monosyllabic, less comprehending audience.
With that in mind, I'll bet many thousands of Republicans still switched over to cartoons part way through his speech.
