The morning after the night before: Freepers talk Jindal
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2193410/posts

I thought everything sucked. From the faux presidential entrance to his nervous start to his weird smile to his Mr Rogers cadance to his hand moves. It was a disaster.

I could not believe this was the cool calm Jindal I waytcged tear up Gregory on MTP a couple days back. It was ugly.

Palin is smiling tonight.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What a missed opportunity for capitalism and freedom. Bobby Jindal will never be president. Ain’t gonna happen. Nope.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Until we are honest about our weaknesses (and strengths) we will never gain the majority.

Jindal was a train wreck.

Unless, we move along and bring forth the ideas and policies that make the party great, we will be the minority for decades.

We can’t afford to just support someone cuz they’re ‘our guy or gal’

It’s time to fight fire with fire.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Was he delivering a major speech to America or reading a children’s bedtime story?"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This man does not come across as a leader. If this is the best we can do for a leader, we are in really poor shape. Sarah Palin, given all her “deficiencies”, comes across as a much stronger leader. Where are the leaders who can understand minorities and women?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Really saddens me to read some of the downright NASTY FR swipes at Jindahl! Guess you prefer the teleprompter reading skills of the kenyan?!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Obama ought to try growing up as an untouchable in Calcutta!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Like most Americans, I didn’t see or hear the Obama speech or the GOP response, but that was good timing by the Republicans to pick Jindal... Slumdog Millionaire, Mall Cop... Indians are HOT right now.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was telling an Indian buddy of mine recently that I notice that a lot of ads have an Indian guy in them for the "coolness" factor. It used to be that ads put blacks in them so that no one would complain that blacks are being ignored. Now Indians are used to cover the "minority spot" and also because they're cool in some odd way understand but can't explaing.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jidal’s delivery was embarrassingly awful. He’s definitely not ready for prime time.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looks like Bobby has a Freeper account:

Don’t take this personal, but I consider Jindal’s speech to be one of the best I’ve heard in over a decade. He touched on his connection to the immigrant issue. It was a crafty way to neutralize Obama’s attempt to claim hero status.

Then Jindal moved into the realm of big government and personal responsibility. He explained why big government is bad, taking money from taxpayers is bad, and why the reverse is better.

His delivery was incredibly good.

1. "Indians are HOT right now"? Will Freepers ever stop being disgusting?
Really, they have no idea how to be sensitive to race.

5. Did someone seriously say "Obama ought to try growing up as an untouchable in Calcutta!"
Do they realize that Bobby Jindal did NOT grow up as an "untouchable in Calcutta" but was born in Baton Rouge, Louisanna?

10. Well, I haven't seen Bobby Jindal's birth certificate....
Edited on Wed Feb-25-09 08:59 AM by jberryhill
He could have been born in India and then smuggled into the United States, but then they needed to fake his birth here. So, his mother went to Mexico with a pillow under her blouse and then kidnapped a Mexican baby which she brought back into the US in order to register "Bobby's" birth in the United States.

But, them brown folk all look alike, and they got confused about which was which, so one of them was sent to Calcutta and the other one raised here.

Who knows? I mean, with all of the women back in the 1960's who were faking births and travelling around the world in order to make sure their foreign-born children would be eligible to run for president in the next century, anything could have happened.

So, I heard there was a guy in Calcutta about Jindal's age running a Taco stand and selling velvet paintings...

6. Scary quote from a different thread:
I have been saying it and for reasons that are clear to those with open eyes... the future lies with Palin... she and only she can counter the rock star muzzie that is destroying two and one half Centuries of American life. She is the only one that can whip America into a frenzy and cause voters to throw off the cancer that is hussein.

Isn't that what Hitler did really well?

9. Repugs are interested only in winning a majority
They have no ideas or solutions fitting for the times, only old stale rhetoric that never, repeat NEVER, accomplished a thing. The only platform promise they have ever delivered on, lower taxes for the uberwealthy, has been a principle cause of the problems we now face.
Less government is code for no regulations. We now know what happens when the foxes are in charge of the chicken house.
Once in power they proved to not have a clue how to run the nation. Now they want to retreat to the very same ideas that appealed to the ignorant and undereducated masses, social issues that they never had any intent to do anything about.

How can we account for such an off-base response, even from a Freeper? Best speech in a decade? "Incredibly good"? What on earth is DoughtyOne smoking?

14. If the only other speeches he's listened to in the last decade were delivered by Dubya...
then, by comparison, Jindal's might be considered "good."

Who knows what goes through the freeper mind?

12. Choke on it freepers
I guess this means the "immigrant background" will not require you to demand the vault copy of Bobby's birth certificate!

And now you don't have to worry whether his parents being immigrants disqualifies him as a natural born citizen.
