The most Asian Americans in a cabinet ever..
Eric Shinseki. Steven Chu. And now, if confirmed, Gary Locke.

Also of note, and nobody really knows this, but Obama has the most American Indians in staff positions ever.

Then, of course, Holder is the first Black AG in history. Hillary, Janet Napolitano, Susan Rice, Lisa Jackson, and Hilda Solis are women in cabinet posts. (Solis is Hispanic, Rice and Jackson are African-American.) Ken Salazar is Hispanic.

The diversity runs deep, I'm glad to see it.

2. Let's give some credo to some who would have been in...poor Richardson

5. I sure would love to see
some more LGBT folks represented though. That's too often overlooked. But I am proud of the diversity we have so far.

9. On the bright side..Sean Penn won
best actor award for Milk and Dustin Lance Black won best Screenplay for Milk and gave amazing accpetance speeches at the Oscars.

Sean said he was proud to live in a country that elected such "an elegant president" and mentioned the "hate signs driving into the theater"..and that the best thing to do would be to turn Prop 8 around.

Lance Black gave credit to his mom who always loved him no matter who he was and to Harvey Milk for giving him the courage to be who he was. The huge irony is that Black came from a Morman household and ended up writing the award winning screenplay for Milk when it had been stalled in production for years.

Keith had all this on his show too 'cause I was talking about it to my son on Kaua'i and he said he saw on Olbermann's.

7. Oh yeah, I hadn't even thought
of that and I'm thinking Obama appoints the best one for the job..not necessarily what their heritage is.

8. Oh I'm convinced that's how he does it.
But perhaps ..... because of who he is ...... he's open to considering folks that the stuffy old white men wouldn't. ;)
