PHOTO Lyndon B. Johnson & Yuki
Cracks me up :-)

Lyndon B. Johnson & Yuki

Found by Johnson's daughter, Luci, at a gas station in Texas, Yuki, a mixed breed, liked to perform in the Oval Office. In this photo, she sings with Johnson for the U.S. Ambassador to Great Britain, David K. E. Bruce.

3. I know somebody that found one of Luci Johnson's dogs
They lived close to DC and the dog wandered into her yard. I guess that the dog escaped. She called the number on the tag, and up pulled a limo and out got Luci Johnson. A few days later the limo was back to deliver a package from Lady Bird to thank her for taking care of the dog. She still has it. I heard the story at Thanksgiving.

10. Dogs 101 on Animal Planet
had a special on the President's dogs. Luci Johnson found Yuki and tried to sneak him into the White House kennel (Johnson had many dogs) while she was gone for the weekend, thinking no one would notice. During the weekend, she saw a picture of LBJ in the newspaper (with Yuki peering out from behind LBJ). The jig was up!

LBJ LOVED Yuki and they would often sing together.

When LBJ died, Ladybird took Luci aside and said, "There's one person I want you to tell- Yuki."

Then something happened to my eyes and the TV got all blurry.
