and where does that money come from? Does it come from the donations they get? Does the leader of the RNC get paid the same? how does it work?

2. Back in 2005, Dr. Dean made aroundf 105k per year..
.
.

Although the salary has probably changed since then-

Like DNC Chairman Howard Dean, RNC head Ken Mehlman pays himself a salary -- $11,154 a month. That computes to a yearly salary of approximately $134,000 -- $29,000 more than Dean is paying himself.

4. BTW... that salary was just a "hunch" by Chris Cillizza who only looked at 2 months of data...
.
.

So, really... it's hard to say..

I wonder if they pay themselves a percentage of whatever is raised (month to month)?

Dunno..

6. Not sure.. From Cilliza's article, it sure sounds like they set their own salaries..
.
.

Based on incoming $$..

Then again.. you'd have to write the DNC to find out for sure..

Why? You thinking about running for the job when Kaine's term is up?

I will run for the job, Kaine should be easily beaten along with any other guy they put up against me. I mean how can I lose? I represent all the average Joes ya know? Anyways once I'm in I'll come back to DU and post how much money I'm making. Then once I've turned every state blue and my term is up and it's all said and done I shall write a book on my experience. I'll title it "Joe the DNC guy: fighting for the DNC chair" I will then go around to various Barnes and Noble's to promote/sell my book to a crowd of around 12-15 people. I could care less how many I sell or how many people show up so long as it's more than Joe the Plumbers!
