"I will continue to support DU, whomever Skinner chooses!"
wndycty

MODS/ADMINS--Please do not lock. I applaud Skinner's decision to pick a candidate, however I am concerned that many of my brothers and sisters in the DU might react negatively if he does not choose their candidate and I wanted to get as many people on record pledging their continued support regardless of Skinner's decision.

We are both for Clark, wndycty; yet, you must understand your post is so 1950's!

11. Soul . . .you are new to the DU and its been ugly lately. . .
I have seen so many people who an overwhelming majority of DU'ers look up to just blasted whenever they come out for a candidate (all camps are doing this). The DU is a special place and I don;t want to see a major falling out over this.

4. I have my candidate
Skinner can chose his own. That's fine with me.

But whoever wins the nomination will be my candidate from that day forward. ABB, baby!

others to choose their own destiny.

I don't really see a need for this thread and hope it gets locked. It's flame bait.

14. Whatever
I knew there was a reason I never clicked on this forum.

Just out of curiousity, what made you even think of something like this? Are the opinions expressed on DU that important to you? I personally could care less who Skinner wants to vote for in the primary, much less any other DUers.

15. I don't do loyalty oaths
If my record on DU is any indication you would see, loyalty oaths generally have the opposite of the desired effect on me.

PM me or start another thread. This thread is for everyone to stand up and say that regardless of who Skinner chooses they will continue to support the DU. Remember what happened to Will Pitt?

Blind obedience?
I am not saying we should all vote for whomever Skinner pics, I am saying that we should not tear down or abandon the DU as a result of his decision. Remember what happened to Will Pitt.

23. We are all democrats here and that's what matters.
While some threads do get ugly, you have to admire the passion some feel about their candidates. I wish more people were involved in political issues like the members of DU are. That makes it a little bit easier to see the situation for what it is and not take attacks personally. It is passion for politics and that is not necessarily a bad thing. I only hope I can instill in my children 1/2 the passion I have for democrats and politics.

for which the original poster is getting strung up by her heels! JEEZ, you guys, lighten up!

The only thing that is life or death is getting bush out of the White House. DU is NOT life or death! This DU stuff is NOT WORTH BEING SO MEAN TO YOUR FELLOW HUMAN BEINGS OVER!!!

OK, back to the Cyndi Lauper CD that Dookus made me buy - and back to my good mood.

Oh and yes, I'll continue to support DU no matter who Skinner endorses After all, he's no Madonna! :D

This is where we can all get together. I want to come here to know about the other candidates, and what non-supporters think of my candidate.

Plus, we are all against the same idea - BUSH...

30. I'm not really sure this is necessary.
People will make their own decisions, and generally don't appreciate this type of thing.

I felt like I had an obligation to let you guys know where I stand right now, but I'm not sure I have an obligation to let you know who I will vote for. Ultimately, my preference between the frontrunners is not strong, and I am happy to let Democratic primary voters decide who our nominee should be. Furthermore, I have absolutely no good reason to try to impose my primary candidate preference on DU, overtly or covertly, on DU. To do so would be a huge mistake and a disaster.
