Finance hearing on C-Span |
|
Edited on Tue Mar-17-09 10:31 AM by ProSense
Senator Snowe speaking at a Finance Committee hearing on C-Span pointed out that the bonus legislation that was stripped from the recently passed package was to prevent this very thing, and should have been signed into law.
She also said it was preposterous that monies are being funneled through AIG to UBS, a bank with secret accounts.
Kerry up now.
On edit: I wonder how many Senators who voted against that measure are now talking crap (McConnell, Grassley?)

1. Maybe I'm missing something here, but when I read that AIG paid billions |
|
to 8- different financial institutions, I assumed those were payments on the insurance policies the banks had with them. After all, AIG IS an insurance company, and not ALL the policies were for dirivatives!
