When did reporters ever ask Bush these kinds of questions? |
|
At Bush's press conferences, did reporters ever quote progressive Dems in Congress in their questions? Did they ever ask ANY tough questions?
Not that I don't mind -- "tough questions" are GREAT because unless you are an idiot, you can answer them.
Anyone recall ANY tough questions asked of Boosh?

No one ever questioned Bush when he slashed the surplus, boosted spending and started wars.

Bush got whatever he wanted and not a quizzical glance in his direction from the press. I'm fuming that people are calling education, energy, and health care "irresponsible."

11. Not trees .. Bush's cronies in the logging industry were busy cutting those down |
|
More like out of his ass hole! ;)
But yes...remember when Bill Clinton went on Chris Wallace's show and Wallace claimed he always asked Bush the SAME questions ()...Bill called him out on that one and asked him to back it up. I know it's harder to do in a forum like this - but I hope Obama does call them out on it.

7. I remember one non-question on the eve of the Iraq war that pissed me off. |
|
Edited on Tue Mar-24-09 07:30 PM by Starbucks Anarchist
Keep in mind, the very next day was the beginning of "Shock & Awe," so questions like, "Are you sure about this?" would have helped.
But the last question Bush received was, and I quote, "How does prayer help you?"

I am proud that President Obama can answer coherantly and thoughtfully. He even allows follow up questions.
* was a coward and didn't have the balls to be questioned like Pres Obama is.

12. I barely even remember a Bush press conference. |
|
It's hard to ask him a question when he is always tucked away at a ranch in Texas.
Now we have a real leader. And a real leader can stand before the American people and answer any question.
Obama is doing great.

13. They couldn't ask a person with the mind of a three year old.. |

...any question that required any depth. Then again, the press was complacent in this during the previous administration. They were too worried about losing their embedded journalists, if they got out of line, and asked King George anything more than the time, how to tie his shoes, what prayers he says at night, or who would he bomb.

And I don't recall the open hostility and snide tone of voices at a Bush press conference, either. They were probably afraid Cheney would disappear them.
