G20 protests draw 35,000 in London

March 29, 2009

A march through London's Hyde Park on Saturday kicked off what is expected to be a week of large protests in London as the G20 economic summit gets underway.

This comes as investor George Soros has made the ominous prediction that the G20 summit could be the last opportunity to avoid world-wide depression and that even the UK may eventually need emergency loans from the International Monetary Fund.

2. We may see for the first time some anti-Obama protests....
..... something I knew was inevitable.

This was fun while it lasted.....

(Here "Europe" is seen riding on Obama's coat tails)

And I liked this one too....

3. I don't think we'll see any overtly anti-obama
protests (the ones you posted look quite funny though), but what there will be on wednesday and thursday is absolute fury at the G20 for simply wanting to restart their stalled system, returning to business as usual.

People are looking at the last 30 years as an old defunct ideology and wat something more just and equal. they won't settle for less.
