3. I may have been
a bit disparaging about her in the past but yes she does look edible these days.

God only knows what's she's doing posing next that wanker Miliband - awful man.

4. You know what I like best about Barack and Hillary?
Barack was serious as hell when he said in a debate, "I look forward to you advising me, Hillary."

He said what he meant and he meant what he said.

And Hillary was too big a person to let their primary rivalry get in the way of doing the right thing!

6. That's because
the Queen probably considered him to be as common as muck , quite accurately, whereas Obama isn't.

7. Remember when Bush's security trashed her gardens?
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x765864

THE Queen is furious with President George W. Bush after his state visit caused thousands of pounds of damage to her gardens at Buckingham Palace.

Royal officials are now in touch with the Queen's insurers and Prime Minister Tony Blair to find out who will pick up the massive repair bill. Palace staff said they had never seen the Queen so angry as when she saw how her perfectly-mantained lawns had been churned up after being turned into helipads with three giant H landing markings for the Bush visit.

The rotors of the President's Marine Force One helicopter and two support Black Hawks damaged trees and shrubs that had survived since Queen Victoria's reign.

And Bush's army of clod-hopping security service men trampled more precious and exotic plants.

10. I'd forgotten that
It wouldn't surprise me in the least to find that The Queen is fully capable of giving someone an extreme verbal.

What you need to understand is that most pictures you see of Buckingham Palace , usually taken from The Mall ,actually show the back of the building. This one for example :

This is the shape of the building with the lawn you mentioned top left :

This is a random pic I found of what is the actual front of the building :

That is looking across the lake to the lawn from the south. There are also trees which occupy far more land than the lake and lawn together. Google Earth probably conveys it better. If you go to Trafalgar Square which is a standard landmark then scroll south you'll find it. Then enlarge it.

Here are some general details :

Buckingham Palace has 775 rooms. These include 19 State rooms, 52 Royal and guest bedrooms, 188 staff bedrooms, 92 offices and 78 bathrooms.

Buckingham Palace is 108 metres long across the front, 120 metres deep (including the quadrangle) and 24 metres high. The total floor area of the Palace, from basement to roof, covers over 77,000 square metres.

Buckingham Palace's garden covers 40 acres.

For the real biggy check out Hampton Court Place which including the enclosed courtyards is a 9 acre building !

16. Funny!!
These great pics prove what Hillary looks like in person. They are all taken up close, even with the sun in her face and are untouched. That's what I kept saying when people posted that nasty pic of Hillary campaigning in NH. She does not look like that pic, these photos are more true to life. Also, her great laugh and sense of humor make her even more attractive.

Thanks for taking the time to post them.

:hi:

17. She looks terrific in person, I've met her
Anyone can have a bad photo taken, and when you are in the media spotlight from the moment you step out to the moment you go to bed, it's amazing it doesn't happen more often. Well, then again, she's a great-looking woman.

Hillary is definitely in her element - you can tell she loves her job and what she does now.

24. Yep, not a bad looking guy at all.
I also noticed how in previous trips he made sure that he was always sitting next to Hillary.

British Foreign Minister David Milliband and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are pictured on March 4, 2009, during a 'transatlantic' dinner at the Egmont palace in Brussels.

32. Loved these pics! I've seen thousands of photos of Hillary... and I think this is the 1st time I've
seen her holding a purse!

Maybe it's because she's doing the British thing, where I believe it is almost mandatory for formal dress.

The Queen always seems to be clutching one!

36. I've always wondered what she carried
Edited on Wed Apr-01-09 01:27 PM by xxqqqzme
in the ever present purse. It's not like she needs cash for incidental purchases. Other than a hankie, what can she be packin'? She has ladies in waiting following her w/ combs, lipstick, powder. It us a mystery. What IS in the Queen's purse?

I'm surprised to see Hillary carrying one. I would think a staffer would have it.
