Buchanan is getting utterly spanked on Hardball by Lawrence O'Donnell |
|
It is a must-see! Buchanan is a fucking liar on abortion. It turns out that the Catholic faith believed that the "quickening" (about the time of Roe v. Wade's 1st trimester) was where the line was drawn on viability of life.
Hopefully a video is coming...

3. I went to a Christian Brother High School and had a religion teacher whose |
|
family had a long history of providing one or two people that took the vows -- and by long history he could date it back to the 15th Century.
Apparently there was a time when the Church believed that the fetus wasn't a life until it was 'en-souled' (I think that's the term he used) and that occurred somewhere after two or three months.
I'm a little shaky on when it was (It's been almost 3 decades since I was in his class). I just always found this idea intriguing.

8. They hardly ever put him on with Lawrence |
|
because Lawrence shows the old bigot no mercy. Every time you get the chance to watch them together you should because O'Donnell knows all the right buttons to push to get that idiot to go off.
