The Poetry Of Obama's First 100 Days...

Pretty cool.

"Day #97: Pimone Triplett
Market Storm

Why shouldn’t I bubble and boom?
My underbelly torques whole horizons
touched by the many-mortgaged, the risers high.

Also, my altrostratus, low
rolling, keeps coming back, proving
cedars in the red, sun leak, worse. Wealth

withdraws. And just what codswallop
got you here? Didn’t I surrender my capital,
my privately owned focus? I still have my same

to-do list, the laundry and dry cleaning,
my outlays and interests, the kerfluffle
of debts, paid and un- and how

long did I let the much-rubbed money bristle
over your old assembly lines, model T’s,
silicon valleys, canneries for peach? Once

upon a time, a man said, I believe.
Dear Sir, dear key in the lock, who says
your house can’t be the house by which it stands,

saying, book, pitcher, cupboard, gun,
unloaded, on a high shelf? Pray to me right:
aim cloud bank, brave storm, see index,

trust public, pay attention, take downpour,
read invisible hand, blast tumult of billions.
Rub the coin, take me in, dress the wound."
