2. Funny how they're just running it on their banner but not saying anything about it yet. |

5. True. Let's see if they even COVER it! At least David Shuster is talking about |
|
the Cheney connection to the CIA waterboarding in order to try to "find" a connection between al Qaeda and Saddam.

6. Detainees??? What detainees? They are prisoners held for years without charges! |
|
Let's not be so quick to adopt the language used first by the Bush government to justify their violation of the Geneva Accords, other international agreements and our Constitution .... detainees my ass!

9. Semantics aside ..... they are behind bars, among other things, and being held as prisoners! |
|
What to the people being held without charges think they are .... what do they call themselves, if I were incarcerated at Gitmo what would I call myself?
That's an easy one.
A prisoner deprived of U.S. Constitutional rights and held in violation of the Geneva Convention!
Let's not pretty up the situation by using the softer, milder, almost friendly term "detainee". We're they "detained" because they missed a plane flight or bus or is more like a high school detention?
I was detained in high school. But, they didn't torture or otherwise abuse me or their asses would have landed in jail!

10. Is that the one on Thursday? |
|
I thought yesterday I heard on CNNI that they would be carrying it live, but I wasn't sure if I heard exactly right or not, because I wasn't looking at the TV at the time. Whatever day, I will certainly look forward to it.
