There are certain people who have no standing to tell President Obama how to do his job |

And by that I am not talking about any of us. We all voted for him and want him to succeed, so even when we disagree, and even when we are critical of this policy choice or that policy choice, we are only trying to help the president and the country.
Then there is the other side. Their leader has said that he hopes the president "fails", yet every day he and his disciples bitch and piss and moan and whine about President Obama and bitch and piss and moan and whine about America. I am losing my patience with those such people who are constantly nitpicking with their "Obama needs to do this", "Obama should do this", "I'm concerned about the president's.. blah, blah, blah..." Their approach was rejected by the voters last November, not just in the presidential race, but in the congressional races as well. So no, you sit down and STFU. No, you don't get to tell the president how to do his job, especially since you have so openly said that you want him to "fail" (which is kind of like saying you want the country to fail).
Back in the 90's these people suggested that Bill Clinton's presidency and authority to govern was somehow compromised because gosh, he didn't win a 50+% majority of the vote, or because voters elected a Republican Congress in 1994, and again for the next six years. The latter argument may have had some credence, though these same people brushed aside the notion that George W. Bush should govern moderately and cautiously because he lost the popular vote in 2000. Well, last November's election made those two lines of argument against Clinton officially inoperable against Obama.

2. Dissent is always fine |
|
However, one has to consider where the dissent is coming from and what the motives of the dissent is.
