Poll question: Would a Dean/Clark or Clark/Dean ticket win in November?
Edited on Thu Jan-08-04 06:55 PM by Padraig18
Here's the twist: assume the candidate you DON'T currently support is the Presidential nominee, and the one you do currently support is the VP nominee.

:)

Edit: Clarity

3. huh? My opinion is that the ticket has to be Clark-Dean to be viable.
Just my opinion.

I think Dean is poison on the top of a ticket.

5. Absolutely.
It would be the strongest ticket this Party has had in decades.

10. I voted for CLARK/Dean...would win, but
I do not want Dean on the ticket at all. Clark can find a MUCH better running mate. I saw Harold Ford today on CNN...I like him for VP, Durbin, Kerry....there's MANY to choose from. He doesn't need Dean like Dean needs him.

11. Ford's too young. Clark won't tap him until 2008.
I like Clark-Graham or Clark-Richardson right now. Clark can call on the future of the Party (Ford, Jr.) during his re-election campaign in '08.

14. Are either Clark or Dean suited to deal with a Repub-controlled senate?
Edited on Thu Jan-08-04 07:15 PM by moz4prez
Sure, as a ticket Clark/Dean or Dean/Clark sure sounds dreamy. The two frontrunners lay seige to the White House. Everyone's happy. But is it PRACTICAL? I think Kerry or Edwards would be a much better choice for veep were either of them not to secure the nomination. That is why the primary race is do-or-die for Clark and Dean. They can't fit in any other position.

edit: egregious error

15. Yes, with THIS twist:
They could have Edwards as a part of their team, with the proviso that he will be AG. Thus, he could run against AssKKKroft, bringing out all the civil rights issues, and other legal points in general.

and would vote for either one enthusiastically!

17. It's funny how opposite I am from most of what I've seen
I'll only vote for Edwards or Lieberman. I'll vote for the Libertarian if anyone else is nominated.

19. Dunno. Funny things can happen at conventions.
NO one thought LBJ would take VP in 1960, or that JFK would offer it to him. And the Ronnie - Poppy ticket raised quite a few eyebrows, as well.

I believe that Clark would be more likely to accept it, however than Dean.
