Better than talking points ;-)


I've used this line a couple of times and seen the lightbulb go off:

We have spent over 200 billion dollars and the lives of over 1000 service men and women to do a job Saddam did for free: keep Iraq stable so the terrorists can't use it as a staging ground.

It sounds cynical, but it really isn't when you look at the chaos and carnage that rack Iraq now, and will for the foreseeable future. Kerry can't say it for political reasons, but it's the simple truth: Iraq, the world, and above all, the U.S., were better off when Saddam was running things there. It was cheaper in money, and cheaper in lives for everyone. I think a lot of people know this deep down, but refuse to admit it even to themselves.


Americans are dying and spending money hand over fist to do what Saddam did for free.
