Request for Info: What has Obama done about taxes so far ....
My understanding is that he has lowered them. Does anyone know a site that has the details? (I'm not asking about his plans but what has actually gotten done)

Has he raised any taxes, or is he just letting some of the Bush tax cuts naturally expire?

it's not a smarty pants question or anything, you just don't know these days. well my paycheck was larger from April onwards than it was on January 19th and I didn't get a raise in between then. I assume it's the same for most, so that would mean our tax rates were lowered.

7. I am employed but ...
... I don't look at my paychecks that closely. The amounts change for various reasons.

3. Bush tax cuts expire after 2010
Big rule of politics is that you never whip the votes for something that you don't have to.

8. I think he will have to do womething though ....
... Bush had some middle class tax cuts that Obama should extend. I believe he was only planning on having the tax cuts at the higher end expire.

5. He raised the tobacco tax.
That cancels out any increase in my paycheck from lowered taxes.

6. Arguably Cut The Most Taxes Ever - $288 Billion Cut In Stimulus Package
Some of these tax cuts were merely suspending the expiration of the Bush tax cuts for those making less than $250,000, but if did not act, then the tax cuts would expire. The irony is that for all of the complaints about government spending in the stimulus package, the truth of the matter is that the stimulus package contains one of the largest tax cuts in history. Thus, when Republicans claim that the stimulus package is not working, they are also undermining their own claims about tax cuts. However, this does not fit with the media narrative that the stimulus package was just spending, not tax cuts:
