Right Wing Denounces Obama's Opposition To Coup In Honduras
Edited on Tue Jul-07-09 02:59 PM by TomCADem
What happened to the right wing's democracy at all costs platform? Limbaugh and Hannity are busy pushing the talking point that President Obama is opposing the coup, because he secretly wants to be President for life too. Indeed, Rush Limbaugh openly wished that the folks who engineered the coup in Honduras would come to the U.S. and help take our country back.

But, says Limbaugh, "It really wasn't a coup. It was the constitution being upheld. It was not a government being overthrown. It was a government being upheld, a government being sustained and getting rid of somebody who wanted to turn into an Ortega, who wanted to turn into a Chavez, who wanted to become a Castro, and these are the people our president of the United States is siding with."

Reading from the same script, Fox's Sean Hannity declared it was "mind-numbing" that the Obama administration would side with the world community to condemn the removal of Zelaya by the military and its political allies

1. Yeah, what sort of constitution allows for trying people for crimes anyway?
Amazing. It took them a week but I knew they'd jump on the fascist bandwagon eventually. "oh, it's not really a coup." What provision in Honduras' constitution calls for the military to abduct the President and kick him out of the country, then assassinate a leading opposition figure? If he committed a crime, he should have been impeached, then tried, THEN kicked out office.

It's no wonder Limbaugh is successful on radio. Republickers will believe ANYTHING from him. Obama is an illegal alien Muslim terrorist who's going to take away your guns and redistribute all your money. This thing in Honduras where the military abducted and exiled the President and installed their own leader as President, that wasn't a coup. It was written that way into their constitution that that's how it's supposed to happen. Government is evil and business can regulate itself without government interference.

If he can make them believe those lies, he can make them buy anything.

3. The Freepers blew a gasket because Hillary met yesterday with Zelaya.
Here are a couple of pics from that meeting.

Notice the State Department seal on her sling.

4. Yes, how dare we oppose a right-wing coup in a South American country
that deposes the democratically-elected leader.

Though I can understand the disdain Republicans have for democracy.
