Anyone else listening to Ed Schultz sticking up for Palin?
In fact he sounds like an apologist defending her decision to quit, justifying it and saying it will give her more political power. WTF?

Maybe he wants Republicans to call his show.

5. Nope, he's even arguing with people who don't agree.. sticking up for his position
It's sort of disgusting really. I was just starting to like the guy but after today I won't be listening or watching his show anymore, if I want to hear that shit I can tune into Limbaugh.

10. If he said only what you said, your comment is a bit harsh
I didn't hear it - and I think she did harm her chances.

However, the Republican possibilities are dropping like flies and if Obama continues to do well facing the amazing problems he has with intelligence and grace, 2012 will be a sacrificial lamb year. To me that means if there is a yet unseen rising star, he/she may prefer to saty away until 2016.

But, even then, Palin might hurt the party going forward by driving the party right and creating the havoc she does. The fact is in 2008 she was selected, I really can't see her surviving a year and a half of primary debates. (Look at how hard it was on most of the Democrats in recent years - and she is more volatile, thin skinned and a loose cannon than any Democrat or Republican I can remember.

6. Anything to keep her in the race.
She's a wonderfully polarizing figure who'll keep the Republican party fractured.

7. I did listen to a bit on the way in to work...
I think he may be playing Devil's Advocate here.

You got to agree here that suddenly resigning from Governor of Alaska is mighty weird, no? There has to be a real logical reason behind this. I literally can't fathom it out. Maybe the allegations are true? Maybe Mrs. Palin is all about the money? She surely must recognize that she is not a viable candidate for President so, maybe she's just rallying the party, raising money and keeping the GOP in the spotlight?

I'm sure all will be revealed in time but Ed was rationalizing a possible scenario. It's highly possible we haven't seen the last of Mrs. Palin just yet.

8. He was actually defending it to his guest though and even got a little shitty about it

It's not just devils advocate, he honestly believes Palin is good for the Republicans and will go on to bigger and better things, all while defending her quitting as a necessary move. Like it or not, he's a Palin fan. I've never been that big of a fan of his anyway, he's sort of a blow hard but he is the only liberal entertainer voice on from 1 to 3 in my area. I'll just tune into NPR instead.

Edit: typo
