"PALIN 2012" bumper stickers--parodies or not?
I've been seeing quite a few "PALIN 2012" bumper stickers around the Seattle area. Some look professional, others home-made. If the car it's attached to features no other political logos or slogans, then it's tough to tell whether the Palin sticker is intended as an exhortation or as a mockery.

While Seattle (and its environs) is left-leaning there are still a fair number of right-wingers, though this area's brand of conservatives tend to be educated and reasonable in many areas. Most likely find Sarah Palin little more than an embarrassing anachronism.

Regardless of the sentiment behind the stickers, I do hope Palin runs for president in 2012—that’s a guaranteed twelve-plus months of top-notch political cartoons, humorous commentary, and general entertainment.

1. They're real.

As real as FoxNews and Rush Limbaugh and the aging unloved and unloving dopes who listen to them.

I've seen a few in Virginia...narrow skulled idiots driving or 70 year old crotchety women driving (and not the cool kind of cantankerous old girl that everyone loves.)

2. be glad you're in Seatlle
I'm in Columbia SC and there are still more Bush or W stickers than Obama, and many cars still sport their McCain/Palin stickers.

6. That's a great one.
I'm usually averse to putting bumper stickers on my car, though I may have to pick one of those up.

The thing about the Palin stickers I've been seeing...there's just something off about them. Something that rings false. I get this odd, Twilight Zone sensation that I can't ignore...

4. Are you talking about the ones where people cut off the "McCain" part of the campaign sticker?
Or entirely new/different ones?

8. I saw one of those last week!

It was a couple of days before she so famously "advanced in a different direction" but I still couldn't help but laugh. I was thinking, "Wow, would that be a stupid choice for the GOP!"

Wonder what that person's thinking of their bumper sticker now.

Edited for missin' word.

10. Ha -- that's funny!
Oddly enough, here in Northern Kentucky (that's South Cincinnati), I'm still seeing a wealth of Obama stickers. I've seen a few for Palin. They're the ones that just say "Sarah!" But I believe they were around before the election.
