Sitting in the cardiologists today with my veteran dad along with
Edited on Wed Jul-08-09 12:44 PM by Phoebe Loosinhouse
the other grey hairs who ALL had to be on Medicare and probably half of whom were probably veterans, an ad came on about "Obama has taken over the car companies, the banks and NOW he wants to take over Healthcare!!!!!! What will GOVERNMENT RUN healthcare mean for you and your families??!!!!!" That was pretty much it, pretty lame. Happy to report that the only reaction was some shrugs and some eye rolling at the ad.

3. I think it was on CNN. Not paying too much attention until the ad came on.
I was looking at the recipes in the 3 year old Family Circle that had the crucial second pages ripped out.

4. You have more restraint than I do.
I'd have wondered out loud how many people in that one office were using Medicare, and how many of those would prefer to do without it.

I'd also have blurted out something sarcastic about how horribly the USPS is impinging on FedEx's bottom line, and how awful it is that they assume Americans are so stupid as to buy such ludicrous non-arguments.

5. If Obama hadn't taken over the car companies, they would be in liquidation right now
It would have been total lights out for GM and Chrysler. I know many people are losing their jobs anyway, but if they were allowed to simply go bankrupt w/o government support, a whole hell of a lot more people would have lost their jobs.

6. Yep.
Bushie's would have let us go down
in flames.

I think they wanted to wreck California, too.

They seem to have been successful there.
