Now THAT's Funny

By David Kurtz

The Minnesota GOP has cut a check to Al Franken for $95,000 to partially reimburse him for defending the election contest under the state's loser pays law.

Losers!

2. SWEEET!!! He should throw a party for all the hard workers who helped through all this.
and then maybe a party for a bunch of senators that include some media talent for entertainment.

I'm lovin this Al Franken goes to Washington thing. It has legs.

12. He is. I think this Saturday? I deleted my invite and don't recall the details,
but rest assured that he's not forgotten all his MN campaign staff, volunteers, and supporters.

on coleman?..I read at buzzflash it was a couple a million$$$.

I wish they had to pay back all the money Senator Al had to spend on defending the election.

Edit~ But, this is a thing of beauty.

5. Repeat of the '80s
I remember that the '80s were the Al Franken decade and we were supposed to think "what will this do for Al Franken?", but maybe the '10s will be the Al Franken decade all over again! :applause:

9. Al's legal costs
were much more than $95,000. I think this only covers filing fees and court costs, not cost of attorneys. The RNC was paying over $100,000 a week to keep the Coleman suit going...
