Sotomayor - The Democrats Should Use The White Firefighter Testimony To Their Advantage
Edited on Thu Jul-09-09 11:21 PM by TomCADem
The Republicans as a political stunt plan to call the White firefighters as witnesses. Well, the firefighters, of course, are not legal experts. Rather, the whole point of their appearance is to complain about how Justice Sotomayor should have been more sympathetic to their cause. Afterall, they worked hard, they scored high on a test, and the results of the tests were thrown out because the city was scared of potential lawsuits. So, right off the bat, I would ask the firefighters whether what they were asking is for Justice Sotomayor to display more empathy.

2. Well and of course they attacked her because she said
she's show sympathy in her decisions. They are just out to smear her at this point. Hopefully if it gets really nasty, the leadership will step in and stop it.
