As Paul Newman once said, 'I have steak at home. Why go out for hamburger.'

President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle embark Air Force One at Pratica di Mare's military airport, near Rome, Friday, July 10, 2009. After attending a three-day G8 (Group of Eight) Summit meeting in L'Aquila, central Italy, President Obama sat down with Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican on Friday for a meeting in which frank but constructive talks were expected between two men who agree on helping the poor but disagree on abortion and stem cell research. 1. While I have some serious issues with the analogy,
I do agree with the sentiment.

8. Five Guys is great. But I feel as if I have overloaded on carbs every time from all of those fries.
Yet they are so good I can't refuse them.

16. Only part of the story.
I remember the show where he said that. Joanne Woodward was standing just off camera and came in to really unload on her husband when he uttered the stupid line. She told him never to refer to her as a piece of meat again. Being married to her was his smartest move. She didn't let him get by with this kind of crap, and that made him a better man.

Some people never get it. Joanne did. She was class and brains from the word go.

27. Well, now, on the other hand...
Most men find women to be quite attractive. Particularly attractive women. And it can be really, really difficult to achieve eloquence when the testosterone is flushing your brain. Much less in text. I tend to cut my fellow penis-bearers a little slack in that regard, we are just as much slaves to our biology as anyone else, and if the ladies and the rest of the guys can admire Mr. Obama's really rather nice torso, I see no reason why I and my fellows can't likewise admire mrs. Obama's rear end.

That said, I can't see much reason to make a whole thread about it, much less call it a "phat booty," nor some of the other comments here. There's such a thing as going overboard.

29. Smart move. Steak is cleaner and safer too. Ground beef carries E. coli and mad cow.
Why risk it when you have a superior cut at home?

;-)

Gotta agree with the O-man.

32. Red meat has been definitively linked to cancer. All red meat. It also uses lots of
the environment (harmful) to produce relatively small amount of food.

It also is very weird to kill a cow to eat its flesh and then sit on its skin.

I gave up red meat 15 or 20 years ago. I am now middle aged and have perfect blood work, despite being a few pounds overweight. Every decade my cholesterol gets lower, not higher.

I'm no vegan or anything. But red meat really has made me healthier than my red meat-eating counterparts, with no effort on my part at all.

Try it. You'll like it. (Now I can't bear the thought of eating that gelled coagulation of blood vessels called beef. Yuk.)
