A Justice For All: The Sotomayor Committee Hearings

On Monday, President Obama's Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor will have her Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearings.

Sotomayor's record as a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit shows a clear commitment to the rule of law, a deep respect for our constitutional values and an understanding of how the law impacts the lives of all Americans.

Civil rights, women's rights, environmental protection, disability rights, religious liberty and labor groups have been coming out strongly in favor of her confirmation.

But some on the Right are already ratcheting their ugly attacks in advance of the hearings.

If you have not yet signed PFAW's petition to senators urging the swift confirmation of Sotomayor, now is the time. Please sign it now.

You can stay up to date by joining our Facebook group, "Confirm Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court."

And get even more play-by-play coverage of the hearings by following us on Twitter or checking back regularly on our blog.
