1. I think she was correct -
The CIA probably hasn't told the truth in years.

3. she just had the look of completely pissed off righteous indignation hard to fake
when I've seen it even in people who are normally good at "faking" emotions it has proven to be real. I knew there is no way she's putting herself out there on flimsy evidence or just to bluff.

It makes me even more angry the way the CIA and the press and the Repfucklicans were all chiming in she was wrong and practically treasonous.

MANY MANY MANY people owe her an apology. Yeah, ahh...that idea that she was damaged politically over this in a rare instance of weakness???

TAKE THAT YOU STUPID MOTHERFUCKING FASCIST CORPORATE PIGS!!!!!!!!

5. Knowing what we know about CIA, it wasn't a real birdwalk to think that they'd lie.
However, there were reports of torture coming out all along. A real investigation may have headed them off.. then again, they didn't have any power to do much until 2006... then she took impeachment off the table.

7. What is important to me is whether or not they are going to do something about it.
I'm glad she was proven right, but that isn't as important as getting something done about this whole mess.

10. I agree. Wasn't she calling for a "truth" commission? Or was that only Leahy in Senate?
Regardless, I think it's interesting when the "leaders" of our country are bumbling along doing what they think is the "people's" work of mundane congressional budgets, etc. but when they are faced with a towering wall of protest, anger, and seething indignation from a clearly sizable majority, they get scared into action.

THis may be one of those times. THe anger has been there at a low boil...and the more that comes out the more people are asking and DEMANDING some action on all of the secretive, illegal and UNAMERICAN behavior by Cheney, Bush, and the others.

15. No that was her. NP called for it and she also wanted prosecutions on the table.
She said this at her press briefings and on the Rachel Maddow show.

12. absolutely. isn't prison supposed to be a crime deterrent?
and don't we want them to NOT DO this again?? Seems like prison time is in order for many in the power base who worked the levers of power to their own interest.

This is how you protect and defend the U.S. Constitution. You make examples of those who would piss on it and do whatever the hell they feel like regardless of the law.
