I got home and caught MSNBC showing the Justice leaving the chamber and listened as the talking heads proclaimed her statement to be brilliant...especially when she said she had "empathy" for victems of crime (right back in your lousy faces, Republicans!).

So fuck you Republican assholes. This woman could run circles around you guys when it comes to intellect and good sense and judicial temperment and humanity. AND she could run circles around most of the Supreme Court Justices. Clarence is going to be very uncomfortable with this lady around.

So why the tears? I am so goddamned proud of this woman and I am proud of this President for nominating her and of this Country for supporting her nomination. As a lawyer, I am thrilled that intelligence and competence will prevail on this one!
