Bonus points to Bernie for calling out McCain on his hypocrisy of accepting "socialized medicine."

1. Well you know it is that evil Socialism..
like the Police and Fire Department as well as a slew of other services.

They are so stupid that they think that Socialism is Communism...morons.

I wonder if they would be happy if we made everything a for profit service. Then when they call 911, they better have a credit card handy because that would be the first thing they would be asking for, instead of "what is your emergency."

3. We had to make an emergency vet call
that we had to pay for. Had to give them a credit card upfront. I shudder to think of what it would be like if we got the same thing when we called 911! :scared:

8. I don't know whether they followed through with it,
but last year there was a plan to do exactly that in Ventura County, California. If people didn't authorize a $50 surcharge on their tax bill, they would have to pay up front for 911 response.

And you thought you were speaking hypothetically.

4. kick rec #2 - "...Our job is not to protect the private health insurance
industry, it is to provide quality, cost effective health care."

The only senator mentioning a single-payer, not for profit system to cover everyone.

with his attitude about really representing constituents, instead of a the people we've got who think they represent lobbyists and business groups.
