It obviously is now time to beat the Republicans about the head and kick them when they fall
Edited on Wed Jul-15-09 10:44 PM by zulchzulu
It seems that Obama has finally begun to realize that so-called "bipartisan" legislation is a pointless, silly and otherwise foolish notion when dealing with the Republicans.

They are The Party of No. No ideas. No solutions. No clues. And when 2010 and 2012 come, no victories... hopefully.

They have tried to stop the obvious destruction of our economic, banking, housing, healthcare and other sectors that they fully allowed to happen starting back in the Reagan years and fully implemented from 1994-2006. The Republicans have failed and are now an ever-shrinking party that caters to the spiritually superstitious, homophobic, racist and uneducated filth that think their theocratic corporate sellout wife cheaters and quitters are the answer.

They continue to play the Card of Ignorance with the Sotomayer hearings. These filthy swine that represent the Republican party continue to think that we Democrats don't have the will to politically smash their heads into the pavement and kick their soft underbellies until they plead for mercy.

Now is the time.

When swine like Glen Beck and Rush Limbaugh chortle at the idea that a terrorist strike upon our nation that kills innocent Americans is a good idea for their party and their agenda, it is time to simply not only strike back hard at them but do it with the fullest weight of our boots upon their political necks.

The days of trying to be "bipartisan" are gone. Simply stated, the Republicans are cornered in a political cave and we have the means to make them politically suffocate on their own filthy odors.

If I was a congress person or a Senator at this point, I would demand that the Republican leadership either resign or face their political extinction. Door number one... or two. We have grassroots tools and support that could completely pulverize any opposition in the next few election cycles... easily.

The Republicans can change if they want. They have until this Friday to fully comply or face being completely outvoted on every front. Those shrinking 20% or so Republican supporters would complain, but the vast majority of Americans paying attention to what is going on would firmly support the new take-no-prisoners, gutsy strategy of just passing the laws we need and giving the Republican leadership and their sheep the middle-finger salute.

It's time. Either give us what we want or face defeat without any hope of being able to stop us. The Birthers, the Teabaggers, the American Taliban... their days politically are numbered.

It's in the HELP bill.

5. Am I reading that correctly -- was that thread posted by Jim Robinson?
I thought he had banned links to DU at one point. Now he's posting threads about us? So lame.

but why can't they put two and two together. What happened to critical thinking skills and why have they suddenly forgotten to add their religiosity to their swill, "you shall reap what you sow"... (hint hint FReepers)

I won't be beating and kicking them but I certainly will confront their raging, hypocritical lunacy. :nuke:

I had to check it out and here are some lovely tidbits:

He does not explain the plan to establish one party rule but we can already see it happening:

Step 1. Open the borders.
Step 2. Register all the new amigos to vote Socialist-Democrat.

(snip)

Hey zulchzulu, Do you really want to get rid of the Republicans, who would feed you? Where would you go?

Oh and zulchzulu, I heard it helps if you change the bong water.

(snip)

Bring it on, sucker. But, this Republican can supply you with .357 'political' reasons you might wish to reconsider.

(snip)

Bring it, punks. I long for the day when it will again be fashionable to take out the trash. These people, these freeloading deadbeats that have been surviving off the tax money stolen from our wages, have a lot of nerve trying to pretend like they have the power to bite the hand that feeds them.

(snip)

It’s time to pull out secret weapon Thompson against these scum suckers.

(snip)

zulchzulu probably gets all worked up just thinking about Jim Thompson.

(snip)

Pretty tough talk from a zit-encrusted bedwetter, and community college dropout, who lives in his mommy's basement and masturbates while watching Keith Olberfagg do whatever it is Keith Olberfagg does.

(snip)

Dam-right we're the party of NO!

(snip)

NO DAM BAILOUTS!

(snip)

Not just the Dem’s Oxygen supply, the media too.

They can start by un-funding NPR and PBS.

(snip)

Should I bring an extra box of .22’s for my bolt action single-shot rifle? That and maybe a couple of sandwiches to endure this long and prolonged conflict?

Wow. I must say that I am amazed that these people actually had the balls to ask their mommy to turn the computer on for them and figure out how to type while wacking off to Photoshopped soft porn photos of The Quitter...

15. I signed on FR to leave a response...
Edited on Thu Jul-16-09 09:33 AM by zulchzulu
I wrote this:

I've look at the responses made after Jim Robinson posted the OP and there were some obvious nuggets of truth within the usual pile of homophobic crap, the tired "Democrat Socialist" garbage, the insinuation that only Republicans have guns (I own several and have had them for years) and other sordid insults.

Yeah, that stuff is as tired as watching John McCain muddle through a speech or childish as a Palin speech.

The point is that the Republican Party needs to purge ALL of the people who think they represent the Republican Party. First, get rid of those idiots on the radio... Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, O'Reilly and all the other impersonators. You guys have to have better talent than them! Come on!

Then there's the Republican "leadership". Asshats like Boehmer, Graham, McConnell, Hatch, Gingrich... OK, just about all of the ones who think they are "important" are EXACTLY who the Democrats want to keep right where they are.

Alluding to Ronald Reagan, who was clearly helping bring Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden up in power and is responsible for much of the deregulation that led to our troubles at hand, might work for clueless old codgers who have voting against their own interests, but is absolutely the wrong face to put on the Republican Party if it has any chance of survival.

You see, the Republican Party is dying. It's shrinking into a small region that doesn't even cover the Bible Belt fully.

As a friend of mine who is a Republican and has access to the RNC, he has stated that the Republican Party is "in the woods". He's a moderate on social issues and conservative on fiscal issues (like most moderate Democrats) and is sick of how the Religious Right has taken over the party, dictating theocratic nonsense that our Founding Fathers would find appalling.

Look. While I didn't like all he represented, I (and many Democrats) fully admire Barry Goldwater. He didn't care about what gays did or whether they were in the military... as long as they could shoot straight, he noted. He was against government intrusion with a Libertarian view. Where's the new Barry? Nowhere in sight...

Some of the responses to my OP pointed out that perhaps there needs to be a new Conservative Party. If it's one that tells the Religious Right to keep their quitter Sarah Palin and their theocratic propensity to bugger off, then there is hope for conservatives.

Otherwise, prepare to lose handily in at least the next few major election cycles.

Good day... and good luck.

I have no idea if it got posted or whether I got banned immediately.

17. I got banned from FR before I could even post a message
It's funny with FR.

First of all, the interface and form submission sucks eggs. It's ancient PERL forum garbage and is kludgy at best.

Secondly, after you submit an article or post to the forum, you get a message that what you typed "gets reviewed" before posting. What that means is that Free Republic's content has had to go through some kind of monitoring and censorship BEFORE it is posted. So that means that what is posted on Free Republic is directly the responsibility of those running the site. They cannot in any way say that what has been posted is due to some member who went off the deep end. THEY APPROVED THE CONTENT BEFORE IT GOES ONLINE. They can't have it both ways, although that's obviously a ruse Republicans are known to take on many issues.

I was clicking through other parts of the site and found a forum listing bashing the Beatles for bringing the culture wars to America and was posted "Cole Porter vs. The Beatles". I'm sure the Freeper who wrote the OP has no idea that Cole Porter was... gay! :scared:

They are still posting garbage on my OP and the FR management is approving the nonsense before it gets posted. Talk about commie censorship...

10. Great Post!
I was thinking the same thing last night while I watched the Republican congressmen harass Sotomayor with all their race baiting. Enough with trying to negotiate with the malefactors.

** For all the Freepers reading this... educate yourself. There are four reasons people follow the GOP...fear, hate, greed and ignorance. I used to be one of you, before I made myself aware of the issues and educated myself. In college I always thought to myself..Why are all these professors, that I otherwise really respect, faggy liberals? I thought there must be something wrong with them. WRONG. There was something wrong with me. I realized the bottom line is that Democrats see the best in people and Republicans see the worst.

13. right, he should say he's going "over the heads" of the republican congresscritters
and appeal directly to their constituents.

obama is now on firm ground to say the white house bent over backward to incorporate the views of the republican congresscritters but they were only interested in complaining.

it's time to ignore them and send a message to their constituents that they need new representation if they want a voice.

19. Politically, of course...
Unlike some of the Freepers who responded to this OP on their web site, this is a POLITICAL battle. Not a violent, physical battle. Not a firearm-based riot...

All we need to do as Democrats is be full-throated Democrats who show up at grassroots meetings, get out in the street and sign up people and inform them on issues and make sure they know when and where to vote. We have the grassroots networks going... we have the mobile delivery going... and we are definitely in the correct corner when it comes to helping America continue to be strong... for everybody.

By "going after the GOP bastards", we mean defeating them on their own bullshit.

25. yeah, how they go over gay sex with a fine toothed comb is weird
I think quite a few are in the closet & it is their only outlet.....since so MUCH of the Bible is dead wrong-including that quip about how it is 'unnatural to be homosexual' yet cats & dogs, & alot of other animals have proven the Bible was wrong, this alone ought to dissuade them from loudly claiming the perfect inerrant Bble....what can you do with people suffering from acute cognitive dissonance?
