How many Current Day News Readers are going to pretend to honor Cronkite's brand of Journalism?
Too fucking many.

Folks like Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer, David Gregory, John King, etc., etc...

Such pretenders! :eyes:

John King is on CNN now reading the President's statement on Cronkite's death now...

and so he reads...."But Walter was always more than just an anchor. He was someone we could trust to guide us through the most important issues of the day; a voice of certainty in an uncertain world. He was family. He invited us to believe in him, and he never let us down. This country has lost an icon and a dear friend, and he will be truly missed."

but left out this part....

"Walter set the standard by which all others have been judged.

He was there through wars and riots, marches and milestones, calmly telling us what we needed to know. And through it all, he never lost the integrity he gained growing up in the heartland."

Even in discussing the greatest 20th Century Icon of journalistic integrity,
CNN still employs the art of omission to slant their news.

2. John King just hung up on Katie Couric talking about what Mr. Cronkite
thought about CNN and other cable stations.

One minute she was talking via telephone, the next minute, she was off the air.
No goodbyes, nothing.

4. John King isn't letting folks talk. He has so many questions.....
he just asked if Cronkite could make it now, in the age of the Internet.

Morley Safer said that Cronkite wasn't a poseur just sitting in a chair. LOL!

7. Is Keith his heir? Who else takes a stand for this nation?
Even Faux News took Hannity off tonight. Keith is the only one with the guts of a Cronkite.

And he's a long way from being that good.

9. John King looks like having to do this report on Mr. Cronkite
is somewhat distatesful to him. Shines a light on his own incompetence and mediawhorishness.

Hope Cronkite left some written choice words for these assholes.

11. I remember when Aaron Brrown did an extended interview with Walter on his show
That was back when CNN still actually had a real news anchor. It was clear they had mutual respect. Aaron Brown was clearly honored to have Cronkike on.
