All 2012 polling is worthless right now.

6. Pollsters poll. That's what they do, worthless or not.
Yes, they are all pretty worthless now, but that won't stop the pollsters.

5. Good luck with that, Jake!
He's almost within the margin of error 40 months out.

I like your chances, fella.

13. Let's not forget that McCain had a decent lead in September, either.
I don't understand the poll obsession. Daily polls just after someone has taken office. Election polls six months into his term. It's crazy, it's lunacy! One need only look at Reagan & Clinton's poll collapses to know how little this crap means at the moment.

19. McCain had the lead for about a week and it wasn't that big it was just a convention bounce.

22. Yes, but the lead he had despite having floundered previously.
It displays how incredibly, amazingly fickle people are. It's really preposterous to have a daily rolling poll at this point, that media sources pick it up and report on it - usually in a doom and gloom 'Obama's ratings have...DECLINED!' style - is just insane.

14. Even if undecideds break 7-4 for Romney
You get about the same result you had last time: massive GOP FAIL.

15. YAWN. These polling places can kiss my ass
Obama is 6 months into his term and I should be wondering about how he matches up with someone for re-election. This is beyond stupid

23. There are several states upon which Obama's grasp was/is quite tentative
IN, NC, and FL are by no means solidly blue states. Depending on economic performance OH could be in play as well, and although MI went pretty heavily for Obama, Romney is from there and fairly popular there and their economic situation could send pissed off (i.e. anti-incumbent) voters to the polls.

24. Romney placed third in the overall GOP primaries / caucuses behind
the witless John McCain and the folksy-but-dangerous Mike Huckabee.

He has his work cut out for him just securing his own party's nominatoin, let alone taking on Barack Obama.
