I think part of this birth certificate junk is about how they've painted themselves into a corner. |

When you think about how much effort they put into telling us that we shouldn't question the president, that we should love it or leave it, that we're giving aid and comfort to the enemy by protesting, how the government should be able to do anything to "protect us", and other such anti-American balderdash, they must really be in a bad place when the president isn't a conservative Republican. The only way for them to escape and still hold all those fascist notions is to somehow sidestep the whole thing by somehow finding a way to believe that he's not really the president. I haven't really been able to throw this one at any of the "birthers" because I haven't met one yet: I think they only come out on the Internet, over the phone on talk shows, in letters to the editor, and when there's a bunch of them in a group somewhere. But you might want to bring this up if you ever run into one.

Needless to say, I set them straight! I challenged them as being unpatriotic and subversive bordering on treasonous. Of course I laughed in their face about their ignorance, no stupidity. If someone presents evidence and the person refuses to believe it, then I think that fall in the general category of Stupid.
