I'm not impressed with Obama's first 180 days.

I'm not going to pretend he has done a damn thing for the middle class anymore.

His economic policy is horrible. I couple this with his bad foreign policy.

out.

3. The country will collapse without a huge heap of DEMAND...
Nearly nothing Obama has done has adjusted the US foreign or economic policy in any significant way. I'm not going to pretend that it has anymore.

He can make effective policy choices but he is choosing not to.

30. Given babylonsister....
I'm not naive enough to believe that many people could really change the laws to benefit the country as a whole here in the US.

Obama is an improvement. I'm glad shithead is gone, but when the treasury is looted under Obama's watch, while our war's continue, and the middle class suffers, then I refuse to say "great job." Bullshit.

Obama tows the corporate line. He learned from Clinton, not to force too much, but he is little different.

I'm not going to accept things just because he is a "democrat." Just to keep his ratings up.

I can't convince you of anything, but I'm so much more encouraged now.

And a Democrat is the only kind of person who could have done this.

Nothing Obama has done will really effect the middle class to increase demand. We need a few million well paying jobs to get there.

Another route is to cut the defense budget and put the difference into infrastructure and social service. Not hearing a whole lot of discussion about that.

Health care reform is not going to get us back to a growing economy. It will be nice however but not a solution.

A lot of people don't want to face the fact that we have two choices when it comes to presidential candidates -- batshit crazy far-right lunatics or smooth-talking right wingers pretending to be progressives. I'll choose the pretender over the crazy fucker every time, but I'm not fooling myself into believing we will ever get a true progressive.

58. For The Last Time, Neither Dennis Kucinich nor Ralph Nader Will Ever Be Elected President
America is a center-progressive nation, with a right wing and a media that's well funded by corporations. In the end, policy matters are titled toward the moneyed interests.

Obama is not Chavez. He shares power with congress, and he cannot govern by fiat.

He is doing all that he can to move his agenda forward, keep conservative Dems happy, and avoid a complete collapse of our financial system.

So far, he's doing a great job given the situation that he's in.
