More lies from Birther asshat Orly Taitz (as seen on recent Dobbs interview)
Media Matters has a fantastic review and examination on the Birthers' and their absolute delusionary madness regarding whether Obama was born in this country. The transcript (July 17 edition of CNN's Lou Dobbs Tonight, guest host Kitty Pilgrim) shows in plain language just how nuts these people are. As the interview was ending, there was this little tidbit barked out of Orly Taitz's piehole:

TAITZ: You know what, let me just mention one more thing. In order to be the president, you have to have two parents that are citizens. Obama's father was never a citizen of this country.

PILGRIM: All right.

TAITZ: He was a British citizen.

Really, Orly?

So these guys shouldn't have been Presidents either? Well, I went ahead and made a graphic to send to these people...

Andrew Jackson (1829-1837) is the only president born of two immigrants, both Irish. Presidents with one immigrant parent are Thomas Jefferson (1801-1809), whose mother was born in England, James Buchanan (1857-1861) and Chester Arthur (1881-1885), both of whom had Irish fathers, and Woodrow Wilson (1913-1921) and Herbert Hoover (1929-1933), whose mothers were born respectively in England and Canada.

I guess when you just keep lying, you start thinking you're telling the truth.

2. I read somewhere that her law degree is from some mail-order place

a few "courses" online. I'm wondering if she has even passed the Bar exam. If so, how?

3. It's been reported
that the "law school" is not accredited by the American Bar Association, and that she has not taken the ABA test. She has passed the California Bar exam however.

8. Yep.....
Not accredited by the ABA or the California Bar association. California is the only state that allows graduates of on-line and unaccredited schools to take the bar exam.

But it means she can't be admitted to the bar in other states, and requires a local attorney to sign on on her pro vice hac. However, she is a member of the Supreme Court Bar, (since all she needed was to be a member of the California Bar), and seems to think that gives her blanket permission to practice anywhere.

6. Non-ABA accredited "William Howard Taft University" is an online university
She's a lawyer like my dog is an astronaut.

Taitz is a member of the California Bar, she’s not listed as a member of the American Bar Association (check for yourself). Nor is her “law school” (William Howard Taft University) accredited by the ABA. Because Taft is a distance-learning school only, Taitz’s degree entitles her, at most, to practice in California, as her school candidly admits.

9. Not to defend her in any way...
She is saying both parents have to be American citizens...

All of the Presidents you listed both parents were citizens, just not born here...Barack Obama's father was not ever a citizen I don't believe...

Technically both Jefferson and Jackson were born British citizens...though they were grandfathered in of course...

It matters not of course, both of your parents do not have to be citizens...in fact neither have to be citiziens as long as you were born on American soil...

So she is even more wrong than she knows!!!

10. She is fucking wrong. If you were born here, you are a citizen by right of birth, thus eligible.
If you were born in this country, you are eligible to be President. Your parents could both be from Planet Zeenork.
