How much credibility has M$M lost over its coverage of Healthcare Issue?
Edited on Tue Jul-21-09 01:31 PM by TheCoxwain
By M$M .. I mean the Nytimes , Wa Po and its like ...

Nytimes was posting one negative story after another on this issue .. I am mad at Nytimes for not having a more balanced approach ... I have been loyal subscriber for the past 10 years

On Edit: The editorials have been uniformly for health care .. I more concerned about what they report and what they promote on the homepage

1. A whole hell of a lot, the 72% poll is what stands out to me. People want this...
...and America needs it.

2. I'm currently watching msnbc's Contessa Brewer yammer on republican talking points...
Edited on Tue Jul-21-09 01:37 PM by BlooInBloo
And she BROUGHT HER UNCLE ON as the republican viewpoint, against Ezra Klein. So she created (a) a 2-on-1 situation, and (b) a situation where Klein is "beating up on families".

Why does Klein hate American families???

EDIT: Correction - 3-on-1 - I forgot about the other brainless hottie.

6. Contessa's one of themain reasons I don't watch "news" on MSNBC anymore.
I stopped watching after Chris Jansing moved over to NBC. Their other loss was when they let Ashley Banfield go,imo. Now I only tune in for Ed, Keith, Rachael, and (occasionally), Tweety.

3. Well, they should have none, but they continue to have way too much.
People tend to believe reflexively whatever the media says or writes. Even here, on DU.

4. How much credibilty did the M$M lose over their pro-war propaganda coverage of the Iraq war?
Edited on Tue Jul-21-09 01:39 PM by invictus
The M$M only have credibility to the gullible. They are not to be trusted. Thank goodness for the internet. Without the internet it would be very hard to get the truth out.

5. To ask how much credibility the M$M has lost infers they had some to lose.
I think after the last 8 years of giving the criminal Bush Administration pass after pass on its deeds, the M$M has proven itself as corrupt as Bushco.

The media needs to be regulated, broken up, mandatory divsersity in ownership implemented, and the Fairness Doctrine should be updated and brought back as law. Unless we do, we'll never have unbiased truth in news reporting.

9. I love Brian Williams on The Daily Show
He is really funny. Hated his White House special though. I was really disappointed with the way he handled that.

Thought they lost that during the IWR run up.
