My letter to Jim DeMint. (We need to be BLASTING these RePUKES !)
I have just sent the below email to Jim DeMint of S.C., and I am also mailing it hard copy to his Washington office. I urge EVERYONE to support our AWESOME President who is fighting his heart out for some meaningful healthcare reform - not perfect, but MUCH BETTER than the SHITTY status quo being defended by the PUKES who care only about the greedy ins. co's and scoring political points.
Please GET INVOLVED. Call and write to your Congress people and to the naysayers. This won't happen unless WE THE PEOPLE get behind Obama and MAKE IT HAPPEN. Our President needs us !

PLEASE folks. What DeMint and Re-PUKES are doing should be UNITING us BIGTIME. This should not even be an issue. WE and Obama are with the overwhelming majority of Americans who want some healthcare reform. Let's get involved and damn well BOMBARD these assholes and DEMAND that they pass meaningful healthcare with a public option SOON !

Here's my letter:

Dear Senator DeMint,

That you would make such a statement to some of your sympathizers as “If we defeat Obama on healthcare, it will be his Waterloo. It will break him.” shows exactly where your interests are: with the greedy insurance companies and not with the American people. You are obviously more interested in helping the insurance industry and trying to score political points than helping Americans and fixing our HORRID healthcare financing system. (We have very good healthcare providers, but yes, a HORRID healthcare financing system. The private insurance company system STINKS !)

You should be ashamed ! I will NEVER vote for a Republican at ANY level of government.

Very Sincerely,

PS: If Republicans block healthcare reform AGAIN in this country, make no mistake, it will be YOUR party’s “Waterloo.”

2. Some staffer will read it, then dismiss it. The point is to do it anyway. I may also call.

live in Maine and are not one of DeMint's constituents. A better course is to contact your Republican Senators and let them know in no uncertain terms how and all your friends, cow orkers, associates, family, and church and Rotary club members are disgraced at the antics of their Republican colleague.

6. Sure, but mine are all reliable Democrats, so it...
won't have the same effect.

I'm just noting that after years of being involved in letter and phone campaigns, it's been agreed am ongst pretty much all of us that have ever doen it that it's not only a waste of time to contact congresscritters out of our districts, but if they get them at all, it pisses them off and often as not hurts the cause.

7. DeMint is a lost cause anyway. This is a slap back note that emphasizes that he and his party

will be the ones who will face the Waterloo. Moreover, this healthcare debate and the attacks on Obama should be UNITING us BIGTIME ! Part of that unity is RePUKE smackdown. Where we need to be more cautious is with Blue Dogs who will sign on to healthcare if the cost mechanisms are right. With them, we need to pressure but not berate. DeMint/McConnell/Hatch types are lost causes. But they still need to hear from people who are disgusted with them. I totally agree, and have advocated on this post and with pro healthcare orgs.that they actually organize "conservatives" who support healthcare to turn up the heat on THEIR congress members. Obama should put "conservative" citizens who want helthcare in front of the cameras. "Conservatives" who want healthcare should be featured in he radio, online, tv, and print ads. WHY is no one doing this? Organizing, supporting Obama, and pressuring congress to act is my larger purpose, and I for one have been doing that. But, we Dems/Progressives MUST also respond to these PUKE attacks BIGTIME. Hell, we should be CRUSHING these assholes on this issue ! It is a no brainer.
