Obama should just provide his birth certificate to the American people |
|
It would end all debate, obviously the man isn't an American citizen. Oh he did provide it? Oh there are digitized copies of the original at Factcheck.org? Hawaii officials have confirmed it's authenticity? And on and on and on?
Not good enough. Why? Just because!
I think Obama should mail the original to every American citizen so they can see it themselves. That is my proposal.
Come on Obama, what are you hiding from? A handful of insane inquiring minds want to know!!!!
Who? Well that guy on youtube who just replied to me and said Obama should provide his birth certificate because he doesn't believe he's a citizen, that's who! And I am sure that guy is both highly intelligent and stable and nonpartisan.

It was ridiculous from the beginning. I guess I've never gotten angry at anybody who thought that because it was so foolish, now it's devolved into full on whackjob land. I've always known that Republicans are authoritarian and they just won't believe certain things no matter how much evidence there is, but this is pretty goofy, lol.

I'll look for the clip later. Yeah there is nothing that would convince some people. Nothing at all. I think, to an extent, that goes on all sides of any particular belief, but with people who identify with political conservatism it seems much worse.

20. I read a Freeper comment on this |
|
and they said something to the effect: "I won't believe it until I hold his BC and examine myself."
Is he supposed to put it on a bus tour so birfers can line up and examine it personally? Maybe it would be a good fundraiser? But, could the President risk marring his BC with so many Cheetos stains?
Like has been said many times in this thread: nothing will every satisfy these nuts. The BC "argument" is a veil for bigotry, plain and simple.

My daft father believes Obama was put into the Whitehouse by Chicago gangsters (How else do you explain it? he asks), and my aunt's "gentleman friend" thinks Obama will be assassinated by the Russians in order to fulfill Biblical prophesy. Both get angry when their ideas are challenged by facts and such.
I am confounded by the stupidity of the people to whom I am related.

17. No need. This is solid gold, this craziness... |
|
Honestly... I love this birther thing.
While the grown-ups quietly work out economic issues, restore our standing in the world, etc. - these loonies will fry their brains out over this. This will even stink up the quiet, otherwise known-to-locals-only Repubs (i.e. Rep. Castle). It also can work like a electromagnet for the RW talk radio and TV pundits, who won't be able to get too far away from it - even when they want to.
In other words, the hardcore 20-%'ers may never get beyond this birther bubble to snipe at the real issues, and that's a good thing. Pres. Obama never needs to acknowledge them - of course not, and he knows that.
I say, feed their insanity. Do that eBay thing, inviting bids for a copy of his "authentic" Kenyan birth certificate. Send your crazy relatives into an amusing froth by saying, hey - I read in his books that he was potty-trained in Kenya, or some such nonsense.
Ride this for all it's worth, folks. Pure gold, this is. If the R's figure they can wash their hands of these crazies in the run-up for 2010 and 2012, let's help make sure they CAN'T !!

Why should he have to in the first place...for crying out loud..do we really believe anyone would have allowed him to become a Senator, and President if he wasn't an American?? You know...I want to know who's continuing to force this issue...I want to know who's funding all the frivolous court cases...I want to know what their agenda is...and WHY we keep allowing OUR PRESIDENT to be undercut and undermined like this?? The damned birth certificate has been verified by the Dept.of Vital Statistics in Hawaii...They have stated there is NO WAY it could have been falsified...yet...NOTHING IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR SOME PEOPLE...it states right on the bottom that it, as it is, would stand up in a court of law...the longer this goes on...the more I see it as nothing more than blatant RACISM...There were those who stated...they would NEVER accept a "black" man as president of this country...are THEY the ones behind this BS? because obviously someone is.....IMO...it's time to start fining or filing charges on the ones who keep perpetrating this...let's start with Alan Keyes, shall we??....wb..

It freaks them out. They see a black guy with Kenyan ancestry, born in Hawaii and alarms go off. I think race is a factor, but probably just xenophobia in general. Fear of the exotic. They fear that he's Muslim. They just can't take that. They couldn't take Bill Clinton either, but they found other ways to go about that. Obama is black so they zero in on that, he has a funny name so he must be a Muslim and we all know they are all terrorists. He's from Hawaii, well that's practically a different country. It take a small person to be so riddled with fear and the GOP is filled with lots of little people.
