Mandates without single payer is the stick without the carrot

Those morons in Washington are taking their cues from Mitt Romney by implementing mandates without a guaranteed public alternative single payer plan. It's been a disaster in massachusetts and it will be a disaster for the nation.

In order to achieve truly universal, affordable health care for all, t\here have to be carrots and sticks. The carrot is making health care available and affordable to everyone, regardless of their income through single payer coverage not based on the profit motive. The sitck is requiring coverage and some element of mandatory plan.

But if you just impose the mandates without really getting to the heart of the problem -- THE FUCKING INSURANCE INDUSTRY RACKET -- then Congress and the White House are merely punishing the public. Giving the sgtick without the carrot.
