"Obama is going to fall back position?"
Just heard on Faux news that the President is going into "fall back" position on healthcare?

Maybe it's not a bad thing? Re-group and live to fight another day?

6. Not sure why you'd post about ANYTHING said on Faux concerning Obama.
Aren't you aware there's a concerted effort - based on lies - pushing to defeat what Obama's trying to do?

Or maybe you want him to fail too.

9. WTF are they saying is his "fall back position"?
and, to echo some of the other posters here, why would you even contemplate the possibility of Fox News being truthful and/or accurate (much less fair and balanced) about ANYTHING, particularly when it relates to Obama or Democrats???

There's NO need IMHO to regroup and "live to fight another day". The GOP, and their corporate media whore allies, are in full out panic mode right now and trying to throw any s**t they can at Obama and/or make the public believe somehow that Health Care Reform is floundering. I've been kind of stunned at the ferocity and speed at which they are doing it right now but ultimately, they have NO interest in nor concern about the welfare of the American public and are doing what they are doing to make health care reform, as Senator Jim DeMint put, Obama's "Waterloo" never mind the fact that Obama actually seems to be making some progress with some of the "Blue Dogs" (i.e. Baucus), so, at least at the moment, rumors of Obama's demise (and the demise of healthcare reform) seem woefully premature IMHO.

Are you really so willing and eager to throw in the towel already? I don't think anybody here thinks that this was going to be easy and there's not much agreement around here that the plans put forward so far are what most of us want but we all agree that SOMETHING needs to be done and soon.

The Repukes, along with some traitorous Dems, helped kill reform back in 1993-1994, but the problems with the system have greatly worsened since them, many more people are now uninsured, and the Repukes, when they had control of the WH AND Congress for SIX YEARS did NOTHING to address the problems in the system let alone propose any reforms. Heck, they didn't even try to do anything during the last SIX YEARS of the Clinton Administration even though he probably would've tried to work with them had they really been interested and genuinely bipartisan about it. Of course, we know how the last six years of the Clinton Administration actually turned out. :eyes:

17. I have no doubt that there is a fallback position
he'd be dumb not to have one.

But there is no way he is going to it until it is clear that he simply cannot pass health care reform he wants, and that wont be clear until at least mid to late August, if not later.

21. Fight another day is wishful thinking.
This will be harder to push through if the economy worsens and as it gets closer to midterm elections.
