They are really ramping up the efforts to hobble and destroy everything we believe in fiscally and somehow manage to keep the status quo in place. Make no mistake a failure for Obama on health care is a fail across the board that will actually affect you disproportionally from both the perspective of how much help one needs and ideologically the further 'left' you are.

If this is allowed to go down, everything further will be seen as absolutely birdbrained and batshit by the majority of the country.

Watching the centrist Democrats in Congress create more and more reasons why health care can't be fixed, I've been struck by a disquieting thought: Suppose our collective lack of response to Hurricane Katrina wasn't exceptional but, rather, the new normal in America. Suppose we can no longer address the major challenges confronting the nation. Suppose America is now the world's leading can't-do country.
