11. After pundits wanting high entertainment, Dem Steve McMahon said exact tone needed at this point.

On Ed Show, after a bunch of all pundits wanting fire and brimstone, Steve said Obama can't be specific about legislation at this stage, too early. What he did well was explain, rebut the financial arguments of the other side, and gave cover for the Blue Dogs.

Remember the tide started turning over claim stimulus bad, ie Obama can't trusted on health care and the deficit.

Trying to be positive while listening to Fineman and Rachel, reminds me of Ebert discussing critics always basing comments on the movie they'd rather see, than what actually there and describing it.
