If the republicans are "so" interested in reducing the cost of health care
Edited on Thu Jul-23-09 05:51 AM by Peacetrain
and coverage for everyone.. I have just one question.. Where were you guys for the last 20 plus years? Give me a break. John Bohener is on Morning Joe, on how to get 'true' health care reform. I just cannot believe these guys have the nerve to crawl out of their holes of denial and even try to act like they give a tinkers dam about the middle class.

Give me a break! ( I know I am repeating myself, but sheesh)

1. The Republican party is the party of lies and destruction.
They do not care what is good or bad for anyone or anything, all they care about is opposition and winning at any cost... Except their wars of course.

2. Bohener needs to define what he and the GOP call reform
I don't trust the GOP's idea of reforming anything, it always costs me.

7. Pukes haven't had to define what they mean by anything in 20 years.

Because if they did, they wouldn't get 5% support.

3. The cost of big Insurance health care is eating this country alive..
The greatest country in the world... where people are dying because they can't get their blood pressure checked or see a doctor.

How can Republicans ignore the elephant in the room?

The presidents of the American Postal Workers Union, National Rural Letter Carriers' Association, National Association of Letter Carriers and National Postal Mailhandlers Union co-signed the Tuesday letter to White House Deputy Chief of Staff Jim Messina, warning that the U.S. Postal Service is at risk of defaulting on a $5.4 billion payment to prefund retiree health benefits at the end of September.

The letter alleges that USPS "may not be able to make payroll in October and will be forced to issue IOUs instead."

6. Bobby Jindahl is on CBS right now, you just would not believe it
They want reform now? but not the Presidents reform? They want tax cuts for the poor to buy insurance. Hello, tax cuts do nothing for the poor to buy insurance. If you have a tax cut on nothing, then how much do you have left to purchase insurance. The same thing you had before.. nothing..

Do these people think about what they are saying?

9. I couldn't believe it and I heard it also
This is the dirty way Republicans play the public. Those that have enough income to pay taxes hear that tax cuts for the poor will take care of those in need because sufficient income people have NO CONCEPT that anyone is in that position that they are so poor that they don't pay tax. Either those not suffering from low income don't really care and want to rationalize or they have no concept that anyone lives at that low of a level because they are not informed of the reality. And this idea that those whos income is so low that they cannot obtain medical/dental care that the state will cover them. Well, I've got news for those kidding themselves so they do not have to deal with the difficult reality. Many doctors and dentist will not take medical coupons here in the state of Washngton because they don't get paid enough. Oh really I've not seen a doctor or dentist in the food bank line.
Section 8 housing is not even taking applications in our area and housing is one of the worst aspects of being low income. Madison said "you can have a nation if you keep your corporations under control". Now the corps own you, like Monsanto that wants to corner the market on seed through the law of patents. Wake up!

8. The Washington Republicans seem to be forgetting one thing:
their constituents are facing the same nightmare as the Democrats who don't have medical care. I don't believe them for a moment when they claim the "folks at home" are happy as clams. If that's what they hear, they're surrounding themselves with sycophants and yes-people.
