About Last Night... I'm Calling Bull Shit! |
|
Edited on Thu Jul-23-09 11:24 AM by Yes We Did
You know... I seem to remember Randi Rhodes saying something last year about a Presidential Debate...
paraphrasing... Don't let the media tell you what you just saw. Believe your own eyes. Believe your own ears. Don't let them tell you that you just saw something you really didn't see.
That is what I saw them doing last night. I watched the whole press conference and was very impressed with Obama. Simply put; he knows his shit.
But to watch the post press conference coverage they would have you believe it was a complete disaster.
Bull Shit...
Bull Shit MSNBC. Bull Shit CNN. Bull Shit Fixed Noise. Bull Shit MSM.
I KNOW what I saw. And your spin and talking points will not change what I SAW!

We need momentum, and Baucus delaying this has been critical to giving every Dem, media and wingnut able to make points and stoke fear. They sense a real opening, or they wouldn't be so gleeful and incessant.

I'm sure all of the disproportionally uninsured blacks and hispanics that now still aren't getting the healthcare they need are really thankful.

Every media outlet that I watched last night said that he was too complicated in his explanations and he didn't make it simple enough for people to understand. I understood every word he said. I even heard two people on 2 different stations say that he should have had visual aids like Ross Perot and his charts.
I know what I saw also.

3. The media want to destroy our support of Obama...ask Howard Dean |
|
Edited on Thu Jul-23-09 11:49 AM by State the Obvious
Howard Dean said the media "hate that they can't take down Obama, so they are using every Republican talking point to try."
No wonder Jon Stewart is the most trusted newsman in America!

gist of what health insurance reform will entail, is a fucking moron.
Here are some of the bullshit wingnut arguments that Obama put to rest last night:
- "Free" healthcare that taxpayers will have to pay for. Bullshit! Unless you make $1 million, or possibly $350,500, a year which doesn't bother me a bit since they received all the big tax cuts that we didn't get under bush. And it's not fucking free.
- It will add a trillion dollars or more to the deficit. Bullshit. It will be deficit neutral (in case any idiot wingnut doesn't know what neutral means, it means it will not add to the deficit)
- We'll have no choices! bullshit. We'll have more and better choices.
- We'll have to wait forever to see a doctor. Bullshit. Why would we? It will be just like Medicare where you see your own doctor and he bills Medicare. Ya dumbfucks.
- And finally, it will decrease the cost of health care insurance overall for individuals/families (not to mention the government).

7. I'm not sure when the media will catch on to Obama's systematic approach |

to getting things done. His press conferences have a scholarly feel and are highly informative. He later goes out and campaigns for what he wants, doing interviews etc. And eventually he'll give a moving policy speech about why we NEED to get the job done. He appears to have a three pronged approach? Or, is it just me?
