Gov. Bobby Jindal (R): Slams The Stimulus, Then Tours State Handing Out Giant Stimulus Checks!
Tales of Republican Hypocrisy, Part 12301

Rachel Maddow referred to this a few days ago, but it is worth a follow-up, since I am sure that when healthcare reform passes, Republican members of Congress, who vote against the measure, will tour their states, and claim credit for it.

###

In Governor Bobby Jindal’s op-ed piece in Politico on Monday, he said, the “stimulus that has not stimulated” in referring to the “Stimulus package”.

If the stimulus has not stimulated, then, why is he accepting stimulus money and going to towns with large cardboard checks for communities representing funds that actually come directly or indirectly (freeing up other funds) from the “stimulus package”? You would think that Jindal would say, “here is money I am distributing to you courtesy of the “stimulus package which I am forever denouncing and which is not stimulating”.

I would think that the very Parish officials who surround him in photo-ops and who are very thankful to him for such lavish gifts can find and even have found ways to use the “tainted and useless” money. I would think they are already tabulating which projects in their own parishes get this green and which do not.

Already, Louisiana has accepted over 400 million dollars in stimulus money.

2. He is a dumbass...
If he took stimulus funds and yet claims they are not stimulating, I think he has some serious management issues and should look for another type of employment.

And if he is just handing the funds out, he did take the funds and is mismanaging them...for which he should be removed from his position.
