Jim Cramer - 2/27/09 - "President Obama’s new budget has Cramer wondering if stocks are safe"
I am betting that a lot of Jim Cramer's fans are just thanking there lucky stars that they followed noted market expert, Jim Cramer's advice to get out of stocks when the stock market. Likewise, we better listen to the current cable news experts who are telling us that President Obama is on the ropes, and that healthcare reform is dead. You simply cannot argue with the track record of cable news pundits.

This kind of move makes Obama, well, an enemy, Cramer said. There’s no telling which sector will be next. Maybe he’ll cut defense spending. Maybe he’ll institute a windfall profits tax on the oil companies. So now, on top of their economic woes, investors have to worry about the president’s next potential victim.

Cramer, of course, has a survival plan. Remember his suggestion to raise enough cash to pay for any big costs expected over the next four and a half years. Make sure that money’s in CDs rather than stocks, too, because at least the FDIC guarantees the former. And stay diversified. Virtually no one can escape the downturn’s reach, but spreading out the risk will reduce the chance for big losses.

2. Tell Jim Cramer, get a grip, Jim. It is not Obama's Budget that will hurt
Wall Street. You gamblers, never learn. Unless the American
Economy Main Street is doing well you people are simply gambling
on dreams.

This crisis occurred because Wall Street had dreamed up these
cocka --maimee bundles of Mortgages which had nothing to do
with productivity in the MainStream Economy. People had
been losing jobs for a long long time. There was no relationship
to productivity.

Be Careful that you do not make the same mistake again and
us into a real depression.

4. I keep up with the day-to-day of the market
And you ask anyone, ANYONE that knows what goes on and they'll tell you that Cramer's a flaming piece of asshole who serves himself.

Only guy on CNBC with a disclaimer that his stock opinions "may have previously been disseminated by him"....

5. good trip down the memory hole for that.
this is the kind of stuff we have to be diligent at. If we can convince others of the masses that some people are DEMONSTRABLY unreliable with their opinions or advice, maybe something will start to change.

6. Hey, If You Can't Trust Cable News, Who Can You Trust?
I am sure that by 2010 when we have healthcare reform and the economy is recovering due to the stimulus, the Republicans will be out in force claiming credit for both.

10. Hmmm time to buy stocks
I love Jim Cramer's advice. I listen to his advice and then do the opposite.

And here's an image I'm sure still haunts Cramer's dreams:

13. If we could get "wrong way" William Kristol weigh in on this too--Cramer and Kristol
do have similar "predictive" track records.
